I have worked in schools telling stories and promoting literacy for over twenty-five years. I have worked in festivals all over the world performing and teaching.

I create a congenial space where young people can feel safe enough to take the creative risks required to create compelling narrative. I use a combination of group and individual work, depending on the needs of the group, in order for everyone in the group to feel involved and valued.

For me, everything starts with storytelling. Once the story world feels real and we actually start to care about what happens in the story we can move into storywriting and poetry. You can find group created children’s poems on this blog
